It has been a long time since I have been on but I have been reading the updates. First off CONGRATS to PM and NM on the articles. I will be picking up a copy and will be asking for an autograph as Andy has mentioned also. You know guys, this thing started up as just a bunch of guys hanging out and having fun together. Articles like this is a new beginning. Little Mikey, still looking for the pics last week of Barney. I cannot thank you enough for how well your pictures are. I will be talking to Charlie this week about the BS at the starting line and holding you back. It is o.k for a NHRA event to have a dozen or more people a few feet from 16,000 HP taking pictures but lets bust on someone taking a few pics 20 plus feet away of a bracket race.It is not right but I will let you know what Charlie says. Speaking of the track, THANK YOU Bill,Prez and others for your support on the situation that was dealt to me last week in staging. What I can say is that I feel staging was not properly being run as I noticed many errors with drivers taking what lane they wanted verses what lane there assigned and drivers not listening to the guy pulling the chips.I will say that I did miss Bob Norcass as he keeps a tight leash on what the drivers are doing. In my case if you were not a ware, I was assigned to race a Black Monte Carlo 9:17 dial. The chip was pulled for me to go to the Left lane. I fired my car up and proceeded to the left lane and then some guy in a Camera goes to the Left lane ahead of me from the far lane. I looked at the staging guy and he shook his arms up in the air but didn't do anything to stop the guy.He told me to shut my car off and he would pull another car for me. A minute later he pulls the chip and told me to now go to the right lane mean while the guy I was racing was already in the tunnel. He keep pulling chips for other cars as they started moving in . I then went to fire my car and somehow my ign wire popped off when I shut my car down. It took me less then 30 seconds to pop the hood to see what happened and I found it right away, connected it and jumped in and the car fired. I was told that I was DQ because my car would not start when I was told to move into line. I continued to go to the tunnel and that is when the fireworks started. The bottom line is that I worked with Charlie to make it as best as it could for the situation. I still lost out on any points for that day as I didn't stage the car in race. I feel I got screwed but Charlie did the best he could to make it as right as he could. No hard feeling on my end from anybody at the track. It just means I need to be more determined to go rounds in the next 7 races. Life goes on.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the HERD MOMS.
See all next week on Saturday T and T and Sundays race.
